Columbus ranks in bottom half of annual “Best Drivers” report from Allstate

COLUMBUS (WCMH)–With a major travel holiday coming up, Allstate Insurance Agency has released its annual Best Drivers Report.

Columbus ranks No. 121 out of America’s 200 largest cities in the report, which determines the likelihood drivers will experience a vehicle collision compared to the national average.

Brownsville, Texas was the city deemed the safest, while Boston was at the bottom of the list.

Columbus was the second-lowest city in Ohio on the rankings; Cincinnati was No. 160.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that July 4 is the deadliest day of the year for drivers, on average–and intoxication is a significant factor in crash fatalities.
