COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man was hit and killed late Wednesday night after police say he stopped his vehicle on a busy Columbus road and started walking in the middle of the street.
Just before 11pm Wednesday, police responded to a report of a person hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Frank Road and Finland Avenue late Wednesday night.
Investigators said 54-year-old Marc Frable’s stopped his vehicle in the left eastbound lane of Frank Road, got out and started walking in the left westbound lane. Investigators say they aren’t sure why Frable got out of his vehicle.
While walking, Frable was hit by a Chevrolet Impala driven by 26-year-old Brittni Stewart. Frable was taken to Mt. Carmel West Hospital, where he later died.
The investigating is on-going, according to investigators. Police have not said if anyone will be charged.
