COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Downtown Columbus is expected to fill up tonight for Red, White & BOOM!, and some people are getting there much sooner than others.

People started setting up shop right around midnight, when public areas opened up for people to reserve.

Rae Grady has been camping out along the river downtown since midnight Friday.

She says this a like a family reunion for all of her relatives. “Columbus puts on one heck of a fireworks display. We’re here for 24 hours for a 40 minute show, but it’s so worth it,” said Grady.

Others started tricking in through the day.
