Woman stole tens of thousands from JROTC program, police say

GALLOWAY, OH (WCMH) – A Franklin County woman is facing a felony theft charge after police say she stole tens of thousands of dollars from a high school JROTC program.

According to court documents, Franca Duchon was the treasurer of the Westland High School JROTC booster club. While treasurer, she is accused of stealing approximately $30,000 from the program.

Police say a PNC Bank debit card was used by Duchon to make payments to travel agents, resorts, dental offices and to pay a cell phone bill.

The charges were not associated with the JROTC program.

Duchon was arrested and charged with felony theft. She is expected in court on Thursday.
