Boy dies in hot car in city south of Dayton

DAYTON (WDTN) -An autopsy is expected to be completed Saturday on a 3-year-old boy who died after being found inside a hot car in Moraine.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Officer has identified the child as Camilo Juarez of Moraine.

Police say the boy died Friday at Dayton Children’s Hospital.

He was found after police had initially received a call of a missing child around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Holman Avenue.

After a brief search, the child was found unresponsive in a vehicle with the windows up. Police believe he got into the car on his own.

It’s unclear how long he was inside.

A vigil is scheduled at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the address where the boy was found.

The Montgomery County prosecutor’s office is reviewing the case, which is standard protocol.
