Clintonville area bank robbed at gunpoint

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police say a man walked into a Clintonville area bank with a gun and threatened to shoot everyone inside during a robbery.

It happened at 11:19am Tuesday at the US Bank at 5020 North High Street.

Police said the man demanded cash from the bank and threatened to shoot employees and witnesses.

The man left the bank after he was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a black male in his mid to late 20s standing between 5’11” and six feet tall with an average athletic build.

He wore a black bucket style hat and a blue short-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Columbus police at 614-6745-4665.
