More than a dozen escape OSU campus area house fire

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Thirteen people escaped from a OSU campus area house fire early this morning, with some jumping from second floor windows to get away.

It happened just before 4am on East Northwood Avenue near Summit Street.

Two people were hospitalized, one from injuries suffered from jumping out a second story window. The other was a neighbor who was cut while breaking a window.

Six people were treated for smoke inhalation injuries, according to firefighters.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
