Suspected mobile meth lab stops traffic in New Albany

NEW ALBANY, OH (WCMH) — The discovery of a suspected mobile meth lab closed a street in a New Albany neighborhood early this morning.

The discovery was made during a traffic stop on Harlem Rd near Fernridge Drive, according to police.

Police say they stopped the driver for driving while impaired, then realized that chemicals used to manufacture meth were inside the car. A search of the car yielded even more chemicals.

Harlem Road is closed in the area while police investigate.
