Story Smith, 8, said she was watching the news last week and “noticed that the police officers were not being treated very nice lately.”
She decided to write a letter to Krispy Kreme and ask if they could help her give the police department some doughnuts.
Then, Story and the popular doughnut chain teamed up to give a total of 30 dozen doughnuts to Clarksville police.
They delivered 10 dozen doughnuts to each district on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Police say Story was given a tour of headquarters as well as sit in a patrol car and turn on the lights and siren a few times.
“Story didn’t just bring doughnuts to the CPD; she also brought a smile and a caring spirit that could light up any room she entered,” the department wrote on Facebook.
Story’s family also helped turn her plan into action.
