Children seriously injured in Union County crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (WCMH) – Two children were flown to the hospital Tuesday after a serious crash near Marysville.

It happened around 4:30pm at the intersection of Hoover Bault Road and Storms Road.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Jennifer Diamond, 30, of Marysville ran a stop sign in a 2014 Hyundai Tucson and was hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado.

Diamond’s vehicle rolled on its side and came to rest in a nearby field.

Deputies and medics found Diamond’s nine-year-old passenger trapped inside and a four-year-old ejected.

Diamond and the four-year-old victim were taken to Memorial Hospital. The four-year-old was later transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The nine-year-old victim was flown directly to Nationwide Children’s Hospital from the scene.

The driver of the truck, Jeremy Utley, 36 was treated for his injuries and released.
