Police charge Marion parents after toddler overdoses twice in a week

MARION, OH (WCMH) — Marion police say it was the second time the toddler had overdosed on Percocet in less than a week.

According to the Marion Police Department, officers were called to Marion General Hospital, July 24 to investigate the report of an overdose of an 18-month-old girl.

Police say it appears the girl had overdosed on Percocet, and had previously overdosed on the same drug, July 19.

Alan Kearns, 33, and Kassandra Kearns, 32, both of Marion, were each charged with felony child endangering.

Marion County Children’s Services is also investigating the incidents.
