Sheriff’s office identifies man murdered in Fayette County

FAYETTE CO., OH (WCMH)–The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 42-year-old man who was reportedly killed on July 20 in a small Fayette County community.

The sheriff’s office said Venancio Garcia-Arquimides, Age 42 of Bloomingburg died of blunt force trauma.

German Posados-Cruz, 49 and German Posadas-Cruz, age 22 were arrested in Illinois in connection with the murder. They are father and son. Posadas-Hernenegildo was originally identified as German Cruz Jr., 30.

Sheriff’s deputies traveled to Illinois on Tuesday and returned both suspects to the Fayette County Jail.  The suspects appeared for arraignment before the Washington Court House Municipal Court on Wednesday morning and were ordered held on 1.5 million dollar bonds.
