Police: Man kidnaps woman in Marysville, lets her go

MARYSVILLE, OH (WCMH)–The Marysville Division of Police is investigating a kidnapping that happened Friday night.

Police identified the suspect as Michael D. Marsh, 44, of Richwood and say he has not been located.

The Union County Sheriff’s department received a 911 call at 10:47 p.m. Friday saying a woman had been kidnapped from her residence in the Mill Valley neighborhood. The sheriff’s office said the call was made from the area of the nearby Turkey Hill Convenience Store.

Officials began searching in Union and Logan counties. The victim walked onto the lot of the Turkey Hill at 1:06 a.m. Saturday morning and said the suspect let her out of his vehicle in the area of Ohio 31 and Taylor Avenue.

Police say the 911 caller, the suspect, and the victim all know one another.

The Marysville Division of Police was assisted by the Union and Logan County Sheriff Offices and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
