Sobriety checkpoints net 5 drunk driving arrests

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — Four sobriety checkpoints held this weekend caught five people suspected of driving drunk.

Law enforcement officials made five OVI or DUI arrests during checkpoints held Friday between 9pm and 3am.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force and Columbus Division of Police stopped more than 580 vehicles at the intersections of East 5th Avenue and Leonard Avenue, East 11th Avenue and Clara Avenue, the village of Obetz and Alum Creek Drive. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
