Great Britain’s Laura Trott won the gold medal in 2012 and is the reigning world champion. She is at nearly even odds to win, but her long-time rival American Sarah Hammer, who got silver behind Trott in London, is looking for gold. Australian Annette Edmondson took home the omnium bronze in 2012, but finished an underwhelming fifth in the world championships.
