Car slams into campus area apartment building

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say a driver fled after causing a crash that sent a car into the side of an apartment building.

It happened around 1:30am on the 2300 block of North Fourth Street.

According to Columbus police, two women were in a car driving north on Fourth St. when they were sideswiped by another vehicle and lost control of their car. They came to rest against the wall of an apartment building.

Police say they caught the driver of the other vehicle in the area of Silver Drive and Hudson Street.
