Train, dump truck collide in Ross County

ROSS CO., OH (WCMH)–The Ross County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating after a train and a dump truck collided at 6580 3 Locks Road, south of Chillicothe, on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office says Marty Chasteen, 62, was westbound on a private drive and failed to yield right-of-way to the southbound train. He was flown to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center after being extricated from the wreckage. He was conscious and alert at the scene of the incident.
