MARION, OH (WCMH) – A 10-month-old baby boy from Marion suffered serious burn injuries and his mother’s boyfriend is facing felony charges.
Police said the boy was taken to Nationwide Childrens Hospital with serious injuries to his back on Wednesday. As of Friday, he remains hospitalized.
Police arrested Roy Allen Crabtree, 27, of Marion and charged him with endangering children, a second degree felony.
“The Marion Police Department is grateful that this case did not end in a fatality. We are shocked to see another case with such serious injuries, to such a small child” said Marion Police Major Jay McDonald.
Police say that Crabtree is the boyfriend of the child’s mother.
