Missing Hilliard man found dead in Madison Co. after crash

David D. Fee

HILLIARD, OH (WCMH) — A missing man from Hilliard has been found dead after a crash in Madison County.

Earlier Monday, the Columbus Division of Police reported David D. Fee, 68, went missing from his place of employment near Equity Drive in Hilliard at about 9:30pm Sunday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 12:39pm, Monday, troopers were called to the area of US 42 near Lucas Road on the report of a vehicle overturned in the creek.

When troopers arrived on scene, they found Fee, inside the overturned 2012 Honda Civic. Fee was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trooper say the vehicle appears to have traveled off the side of the road, striking a guardrail before overturning in the creek.

Because of the depth of the creek bed, the vehicle was not visible from the roadway.

Troopers continue to investigate but say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
