Early morning SWAT situation connected to Kozy Inn homicide

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — After more than four hours, Columbus Police have cleared the scene of a SWAT situation on the city’s south side.

Columbus Police said that people were barricaded inside a home near the intersection of Lockbourne and Marion roads early Sunday morning. The standoff began around 3:30am.

Officers say that the people inside the home may be connected to the suspects in the ongoing investigation of a homicide at the Kozy Inn  on South High Street Saturday morning. Police are still looking for two unidentified suspects in the death of Mark E. Horne.

Anyone with information about the identities of the suspects are asked to call the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
