Woman accused of torching car thinking it belonged to ex-boyfriend

CLEARWATER, FL (WCMH) — Police say a woman in Florida torched a car that the mistakenly believed was her ex-boyfriend’s car.

Police initially released the video last week hoping to identify the woman caught on camera torching a car before leaving on a bicycle.

Saturday, police identified the woman as Carmen Chamblee. She was arrested and charged with second-drgree arson.

According to WTSP, Chamblee allegedly told investigators that she thought the car belonged to her ex-boyfriend.

She was wrong, according to police.
