Franklin County Sheriff’s Office completes Running Man Challenge

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released what they are calling the ‘world’s last Running Man Challenge.”

The video, shared on Facebook Wednesday shows Franklin County deputies all around the county dancing their hearts out. It also features schoold students, the Columbus Marauders and Buck-I-Guy.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Running Man Challenge started with Maryland Basketball players Jared Nickens and Jaylen Brantley. They danced to Ghost Town DJ’s song ‘My Boo’ posted it to Instagram. The idea spread to other basketball teams and eventually police departments.

Sheriff Scott ends the video by “There isn’t any amount of fear, rhetoric or stereotyping that’s going to keep us from doing what we’ve always done, work together. I want to take this opportunity to challenge all of our communities in Franklin County and across our nation to do the same thing. Let’s not let anyone or anything keep us from working together.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
