Large marijuana plants found growing outside Perry Co. home

SOMERSET, OH (WCMH) – Deputies seized a large amount of stolen property as well as marijuana from a Perry County home on Wednesday.

According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served two search warrants at a home on the 3500 block of Township Road 418 in Somerset.

When deputies arrived, they say they found several large marijuana plants growing in the front yard along with a stolen yard roller. By the time the search of the 10 acre property was completed the next day, deputies say they recovered stolen property worth more than $60,000 and marijuana worth more than $41,000.

Property recovered included construction equipment, ATVs, power tools and a golf cart. The items were reported stolen in both Perry and Franklin Counties.

Police arrested 34-year-old Justin E. Miller and 33-yer-old Shawna A. Miller. Both remain in custody at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail on theft charges.
