Firefighters battle flames in north Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Firefighters have extinguished the flames at a two-alarm warehouse fire in north Columbus.

Crews were dispatched to the 3000 block of Silver drive just after 5:50am Saturday, and firefighters had the blaze extinguished in an hour. According to Battalion Chief Steven Martin, the fire started in the warehouse portion of the Bunk and Loft Factory. The smoke from the fire spread next door to the NAPA Auto Parts store.

Columbus Fire says no injuries were reported. Investigators aren’t sure if someone was inside at the time the fire started.

Martin says Silver Drive is closed as well as the ramp from Interstate 71 south to Weber Road.
