Brown University to offer free tampons, pads to everyone

PROVIDENCE, RI (KRON)—Brown University will soon offer free tampons and pads to students of all gender identities.

The school’s student council came up with the idea.

All the bathrooms inside the campus will have feminine hygiene products except for the residential areas.

Brown’s student council is also still trying to have sanitary disposable bins inside all men’s bathrooms.

The student-run finance board is providing funding to the project.

Brown University is not the only school to push this initiative. UCLA, Emory University and Columbia University have also pushed for this inside their campuses.
