Police looking for suspect from a June murder


COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police say they are looking for a man they suspect killed one person and assaulted two others in June 2016.

Police say on June 28, they responded to the 190 block of North Warren Avenue for a call of a home invasion robbery.When they got to the scene they found three injured adults, two men who had suffered gun shot wounds and a woman with serious facial injuries. The victims were identified as Lee H. Bussey, Stevie Montgomery, and Timothy Montgomery.

All the victims were transported to Mount Carmel West, where Mr. Bussey succumbed to his injuries.

Police have identified the suspect as Joseph K. Kibby, who they say is still on the loose and is to be considered “armed and dangerous.” If you know anything about his whereabouts or the June incident, please call the Columbus Police Homicide Unite at 614-645-4730.
