FRANKLIN CO., OH (WCMH)– The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious crash that closed a portion of I-270 Friday afternoon.
It’s happened around 3:47pm. Deputies say four vehicles were traveling westbound on I-270 when a semi struck the rear of a Chevrolet, which caused them to strike the rear of a Toyota. Debris from the crash caused damage to a nearby Ford.
The driver of the semi, Inderjit Samara, 39, was transported to Grant with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Samuel Mosley, 41, was also transported to Grant Medical with non-life threatening injuries. Mosley’s wife, Erin, didn’t report any serious injuries. The couple’s four children were all transported to Children’s Hospital with ‘serious to life-threatening’ injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, Trent Tipton, 15, was driving with his learner’s permit. His father, Gary, was a passenger. Neither suffered any serious injuries.
All passengers in the Ford were okay, only the car suffered minor damage.
