MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a suburban Atlanta woman for leaving her 3-year-old son in a hot car while she went to a job interview.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/2d5WBMp ) reported Friday that Danielle Young of Norcross told Cobb County police she left her son in the car for 30 minutes to go to a job interview.
But police determined the boy was left in the car for more than an hour Monday. The arrest warrant states that it was 102 degrees inside the car where the child was seated.
A security guard got the boy out the unlocked car. Police say the child was not injured, and was placed in protective custody.
Young was charged with reckless conduct and released from the Cobb County jail on $5,000 bond.
