CABOT, AK (WCMH) — It started as just another trip to the bowling ally for Nicholas Johnson and his two brothers, but what they didn’t know was that they were in for the surprise of a lifetime.
Wearing their favorite superhero shirts for luck, the three brothers hope to win big.
“I love dad because Flash is my favorite superhero and Dad is too,” Nicholas told KARK.
Their dad, Brian Johnson, is a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force who has been in Afghanistan for more than four months.
“We have three more days until he comes back, or four,” Nicholas said.
The Johnson triplets know that a perfect game takes focus, but as soon as their superhero walked through the door of the bowling ally, the game was all but forgotten.
It was a striking surprise for the three boys, and their father couldn’t be happier.
“To hear my kids say that they think of me as a hero is very special to me and makes me proud,” Brian said. “I just wanted to stop and forget everything else and just take them and run off somewhere with them.”
