FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — A child has died four days after being in a crash along I-270 on the south side of the city last Friday.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:47pm, September 16, deputies were called to a multiple-vehicle crash on I-270, west of I-71 in Jackson Township.

Deputies say a 2007 Freightliner tractor trailer, being driven by Inderjit Samra, 39 of Brampton, Ontario Canada, struck the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, being driven by Samuel Mosley, 41, of Canal Winchester.  The Chevrolet then struck the rear of a Toyota Camry.

Mosley’s four children, ages 1, 4, 7 and 9, sitting in the back of the vehicle were all transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries. Deputies announced today that the 7-year-old Eleanor Mosley died as a result of the crash.

Samuel Mosley was taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and his wife Erin, 39, who was in the front passenger seat did not report serious injury.

Samra was transported to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The two people in the Toyota suffered no serious injuries.

Deputies continue to investigate but say all passengers were properly restrained during the crash.

At this time it is unknown if drugs or alcohol are a factor.
