CLEVELAND, OH (WCMH) — Police in Cleveland say a pregnant 24-year-old woman was shot twice in the chest while waiting for her vehicle’s tire to be fixed.
According to WKYC, officers responded to a repair shop on Shaw Avenue in Cleveland around 6:30pm Tuesday and found the woman inside a repair shop.
The shop’s owner told police the woman was inside getting a tire fixed when he heard several gunshots. He took her to the back of the shop and tried to stop the bleeding with a towel.
Police told WKYC several witnesses saw a light blue Chysler in the area that could have been involved in the shooting.
The woman was reportedly seven months pregnant.
The woman was reportedly in stable condition. Police did not say whether the unborn child was injured.
