Man in stable condition after being shot in East Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police are investigating after a man was shot in East Columbus Thursday morning.

According to Columbus Police, Clarence Fowler had stopped in front of a residence in the 800 block of Old Leonard Avenue, just after midnight, to drop off a friend when an unknown person pulled up beside his vehicle and fire one shot.

Fowler was struck in the upper leg and the suspect fled through the alley.

Fowler was hospitalized to be treated for his injury.
