Man arrested for transporting high-grade marijuana, with a mustard topping


PUTNAM COUNTY, IN (WTHI) – A man has been arrested after police found an estimated $200,000 worth of marijuana, covered in yellow mustard.

It happened Thursday evening in Putnam County, Indiana.

State Troopers stopped a semi on I-70 for a routine safety inspection.

That’s when the officer noticed an overwhelming smell of yellow mustard.

Other indicators of possible criminal activity were also noticed.

During the search, troopers found about 48 pounds of packaged, high-grade marijuana.

The driver, Richard Sherman, was arrested.

He is from El Cajon, California.
