Westerville Police arrest three in series of thefts from vehicles

WESTERVILLE OH., (WCMH) — Westerville Police arrested three suspects in connection to a series of thefts from vehicles early Friday morning.

Officers responded to reports of a group wearing ‘Anonymous’ masks, knocking on doors and running away in the area of Kim Court and East College Avenue around 4am. Two suspects fled the scene when officers arrived.

Phabiem Chislum, 18, of Columbus was arrested after a short chase on foot. Police later found and arrested 19-year-old Gerald Parks, of Groveport.

A 16-year-old juvenile was also arrested after they were found hiding in a rental car registered to an individual under investigation.

Investigators on scene found that vehicles in the area had been broken into. All suspects are currently in custody and the investigation is on-going.
