Musical ensemble celebrates eve of the Jewish New Year with traditional melodies

DELAWARE (WCMH)—Meteorologist Ben Gelber formed an ensemble in 2010 to bring music to seniors and the community, based on his keyboard arrangements.

Friday Night Live Music performed on Friday evening at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware for students, faculty and guests on the eve of the Jewish New Year, with a blend of traditional and klezmer melodies, part of a historical music program.

The 10-member ensemble comprising local music educators has played at The Ohio State University, Capital University, Upper Arlington and Bexley Public Libraries, Wesley Ridge, Wesley Glen, National Church Residences/Mill Run, Wexner Heritage Village in the past couple of seasons. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
