No known suspects, motive in 72nd homicide in Columbus this year

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police say one man is dead after he was apparently shot Sunday afternoon.

Officers and EMS were called to the the area of 1584 Harvard Avenue around 3:54pm.

They found the victim, 29-year-old Daegio D. Heron, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police say that the victim and several unknown others were in the alley and at some point Heron was shot.

He died from his injuries and was pronounced at the scene.

Columbus Police say there is no known motive or suspects at this time.
