COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police say they are looking for anyone who may have been involved in a recent felony ticket scam.
They arrested Martin Alper October 3, after he was identified as the suspect in a felony ticket scam.
Alper agreed to sell a woman tickets for the OSU-Michigan game this fall. He said he would sell them to her at face value if she gave him $20 as a holding price to later get the tickets. He told her his name was Mark Dinardo, and when she tried to contact him he failed to show up.
The police apparently got involved and issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to show up multiple times. Police say he was arrested for a similar charge in 2007 and believe he may have had a part in numerous scams like this. They are looking for other victims.
If you think you have been in contact with Alper, please contact Detective Covey with the Columbus Police.
