Suspect in custody after SWAT response at north side apartment

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A swat situation in a north Columbus apartment complex has ended peacefully.

According to Columbus Police, officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 4800 block of Kingshill Drive just before 8:30pm.

A man was barricaded inside an apartment. Police said he is wanted for domestic violence and assault.

Police said the suspect surrendered to police and is now in custody. No one was injured.

The identity of the suspect has not been released.
