People lining up to get free coffee from ‘Luke’s Diner’ in Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — People are lining up at two Columbus coffee shops after they changed their name to Luke’s Diner for a day in anticipation of the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls.

Luke’s Diner is a greasy spoon where the characters of the show often hang out and eat.

Today, Upper Cup Coffee at 79 Parsons Avenue and Short North Coffee at 1203 North High Street will be decked out in “all the Luke’s Diner essentials,” according to Eater. Netflix is footing the bill for branded aprons, t-shirts and free coffee from 7am until noon.
