VIDEO: Kitten rescued from 12-story ledge

SINGAPORE (NBC NEWS) — A tricky kitten rescue was caught on camera in Singapore.

A kitten jumped out of an open window on Sunday and got stuck on a ledge 12 stories high.

An animal rescue officer was called in to help.

Police officers waited below with an open blanket just in case.

It took a few tries before the kitten could be snared, but using a post with a loop of rope on the end, the animal rescue officer finally saved the cat.

The SPCA in Singapore says cats and kittens are curious animals and they risk falling out of an open window by simple acts such as chasing a bird flying by.
