Amber Alert issued in Dayton after car stolen with 3-year-old inside

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An Amber Alert has been issued for the girl who was inside a car stolen from a Dayton gas station.

Police in Dayton are looking for a car that was stolen Friday afternoon with a little girl still in the back seat.

Police tell 2 NEWS they are looking for a gold 2007 Buick LaCrosse that they believe has a 3-year-old girl inside.

The grandmother of the girl tells 2 NEWS the girl’s name is Maaliyah Ferguson. She has a single braid in her hair and is wearing a white sleeveless shirt, black leggings and pink shoes.

The car was taken from a Shell gas station in the 3400 block of East Third Street around 4:00 Friday afternoon. Police say a woman walked into the gas station, leaving the child, and the keys, in the car. Police said they are looking for one, or possibly two suspects.

The missing vehicle has an Ohio license plate numbered GOF 4738.
