Two women arrested in connection with Linden-area overdoses

COLUMBUS (WCMH)–Less than two weeks after Columbus Police investigators say a bad batch of heroin lead to multiple overdoses in the Linden area, two arrests have been made.

Sara Eberhard and Mallory Morman are each charged with one count of possession of heroin.

Investigators say these cases are linked to what happened in the Linden area and more charges could be forthcoming.

“We are talking with the heroin users, their family members, the neighbors, people in the community who are giving us tips on where we can find these suspects who are connected with the heroin,” said Denise Alex with the Columbus Division of Police.

Columbus Police served a search warrant at a home in the 900 block of 17th Avenue Thursday.

According to court documents, detectives recovered 79 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl.

Also recovered were small Ziploc bags, scales, more than $1,700 and hundreds of syringes.

“Our investigators, our detectives acted quick on trying to find out who was distributing,” Alex said. “And so, making an arrest in a week and a half is pretty good.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
