Man’s hand gets stuck in conveyor belt at east Columbus building

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A surgical team had to be called to an east Columbus building after a man’s hand was stuck in a conveyor belt early this morning.

According to the Columbus Division of Fire, shortly after 6am, Tuesday, firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Woodland Avenue on a rescue call.

Firefighters say a man’s hand was stuck in a conveyor belt in one of the buildings, and a surgical team was called to help free him.

The man was freed from the machinery and is expected to be OK, according to firefighters.
