GARLAND, TX (WCMH) – Police in two Texas cities were involved in a dramatic high-speed chase Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the chase started when they responded to a report of a suspicious person at a department store.
One person was arrested in the store, but a second person took off in a pickup truck.
The suspect led police on a chase the wrong way down the President George Bush Turnpike.
The driver then got out of his car and ran across Interstate 30, almost getting hit by cars several times.
Just after he jumped the median, an officer used his Taser, bringing the chase to an end in the middle of the road. Police then stopped traffic and pulled the man to a service road where he was checked out by medics.
