Buckeyes “laser focused” on Wisconsin

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Urban Meyer uttered it. Curtis Samuel and Malik Hooker said it. Jamarco Jones said it.

“Laser focus.”

Clearly, it’s a message from the top down this week as the Buckeyes prepare for their trip to Wisconsin. A sign which reads “The Most Prepared Team Will Win This Game” is back on the locker room door. That sign appears from time to time during a season, typically before a game with major importance. This one passes that test.

Wisconsin, ranked 11th in the nation, features the top ranked rushing defense in the Big Ten. Add in the wild, night game atmosphere at Camp Randall Stadium and the Buckeyes are preparing for a wild night.

Meyer says WR Corey Smith will not play due to a wrist injury. LB Dante Booker remains questionable with a knee injury more severe than originally thought. Booker sprained the MCL and PCL in his knee during the opening game of the season and has not played since. Jerome Baker has performed at a high level in Booker’s absence.
