Police identify victim in fatal south Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police have identified the man who was shot and killed on the city’s south side yesterday.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, just before noon, Wednesday, officers were called to 400 block of E. Markison Avenue on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Anthony E. Brown, 46, in the rear of a residence in the area suffering from gunshot wounds.

Brown was taken to Grant Medical Center where he would later die from his injuries.

Witnesses told police that the suspects fired multiple shots during the incident.
