UC shelter-in-place order lifted as officers search for suspect

CINCINNATI (WLWT/WCMH) — University of Cincinnati students were told to shelter in place by police after shots were fired on campus Monday night.

Police sent a crime alert to students, saying that officers are searching for a suspect in connection to the shots fired.

WLWT reports that the crime alert describes the suspect as a black male, standing at about 5’10” tall and wearing gray shorts. The suspect was last seen running towards Marge Schott Stadium.

No injuries have been reported. SWAT teams and police continue to search the campus.

Students were told the shelter-in-place order was lifted just before 10pm.
