CANAL WINCHESTER, OH (WCMH) — Family, friends and community members are remembering a Canal Winchester boy who died of a rare disease last May.
Brock Johnson, known as “B-rock” would have turned 16 on Wednesday.
His family has planned to travel throughout the area doing random acts of kindness in honor of him.
There are more than 50 people involved in the day’s events.
They will be going all over the area delivering donuts to teachers, lunch to fire fighters and books to libraries.
They will also be donating wagons to nationwide Children’s Hospital in honor of the kids who have passed away in the last five years of a similar condition.
They also plan to spend an hour paying for some peoples groceries and gas.
The day will wrap up with a birthday bash in the Canal Winchester High School parking lot from 5:30-7pm.
The family is asking those who come to the party to bring a board game or a teddy bear to donate to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
At the end of the party there will be a drawing for those who donated.
They are giving away prizes including 11 of B-rock’s favorite things.
