Man says he’d rather die than watch the presidential debates: does just that

SWARTHMORE, PA (WCMH) —  According to his obituary, the man did not want to watch a presidential debate and would rather die; and he did.

“Apparently he meant it when he said he would rather die than have to watch the presidential debate,” George Norman Davis’ obituary reads in the Delaware County Daily Times.

Davis died September 26, the date of the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

“At least he is no longer obligated to vote, firmly believing regardless of the outcome, the nation is going someplace in a handbasket and he would rather travel in the opposite direction,” the obituary continues.

The third and final presidential debate of the election took place yesterday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
