WATCH: Westerville police rescue deer in headlights

WESTERVILLE, OH (WCMH) — When a deer ran out into the middle of the road last night, police were there to help.

The Westerville Police Department shared a video on their Twitter account showing them coming to the rescue of a deer who was literally a deer in the headlights.

The animal ran out onto a road and then stopped when he he saw all the headlights of cars heading his way.

Police officers then stopped, grabbed a broom and helped usher the scared guy back to the side of the road. The deer then took back off into a wooded area.
